Certainly diversity is the opposite of strength, but racial (or other) homogeneity isn’t an absolute requirement (and is simply not possible in many societies as they exist now, including ours). In such a society, as you suggest, common ideals are the key, and some kind of millet system for individual groups. (More thoughts on this at the Foundationalist Manifesto.)

Great reading, Charles. I find your insights interesting at always. Do you think racial homogeneity will be a pre-requisite of future communities? Or perhaps there should be permission of racial homogeneity in some communities and relative integration in others, mediated by a strong common ideal?
